The project of converting Emamabad and Azadvar interchange into a non-grade interchange located on the Tehran-Mashhad Railway began in 2015 and its physical operation was completed in 2019. The structure of these two interchanges consists of Raft foundations, knapsack and beam and slab decks and has retaining walls to the sides which are approximately 350 meters in length. The height of these underpasses is 6 meters and their width is about 9 meters and each having double 2 lanes route.
